SUBDIVISION MORATORIUM
On July 8, 2025, the Cache County Council adopted Ordinance No. 2025-21 establishing a temporary land use regulation prohibiting new or amended subdivisions with more than 5 buildable lots. The moratorium became effective on July 22, 2025 and, per State Law, is effective for 180 days. The moratorium does not impact subdivision applications that were submitted prior to July 22, 2025.
Contact the Development Services Office with any questions regarding the moratorium.
BOUNDARY ADJUSTMENTS
Effective May 7, 2025, State law (S.B. 104) changed how boundary lines between properties can be adjusted.
Click here to review the differences between a Boundary Establishment, a Simple Boundary Adjustment, and a Full Boundary Adjustment.
A Boundary Establishment, which is used to resolve an ambiguous, uncertain, or disputed boundary, is done through the Recorder's Office. Please contact the Recorder's Office for information on the Boundary Establishment process.
To apply for a Simple Boundary Adjustment or a Full Boundary Adjustment, complete the applications and provide the required documents to the Development Services Department. Applications can be submitted in person or via email at devservices@cachecounty.gov.
