The Cache County Fire District protects life, property, and the environment and we support the various fire departments in Cache County as they provide fire service to all residents of the county.

Must obtain a Burn Permit to burn! 

Burn Permit applications are located by clicking the "Get a Burn Permit" on the left.

Open burn season is April 1 - May 31 and September 15 - October 31.

CCFD Board of Trustees Vacancies

The Cache County Fire District is seeking interested persons willing to be considered for
appointment to the Cache County Fire District Board of Trustees. There are two vacancies: one
representing cities or towns located north of Highway 30, and one representing cities or towns
located south of Highway 30. To qualify, individuals must be currently elected Mayors of cities
or towns within the boundaries of the Fire District, which includes all areas of Cache County
except Logan City, and must reside within the Fire District.
A public meeting will be held at the Cache County Historic Courthouse (199 North Main Street,
Logan, UT) on January 8, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Interested Mayors should plan to attend and briefly
address the Fire District Board of Trustees regarding their interest in serving. Members of the
public may also attend to be heard. Following the hearing, the Fire District Board of Trustees
will recommend two individuals for appointment. Final ratification of these appointments will be
made by the Cache County Council, with appointments becoming effective immediately upon
ratification.

Persons wishing to be considered for appointment must submit a letter of interest on or before
January 5, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Letters should be addressed to:

Firework Restrictions and information visit:

Fireworks may be lit in unrestricted areas from 11am until 11pm July 2-5 and July 22-25 and until midnight on July 4 and 24.
